Rather, it’s an opportunity to make intelligent choices. A Normal girl who leads a normal life. Happy for everything. Always believe that everything happens for a reason. JOBTuesday, 15 January 2013 | post a comment {0}Well work has been fun for me, yes i think my 2 months here is okay. The job isn't boring! Every time there is something to do. You exchange duties and get to meet different people from different countries. You can also meet so many individuals with different kind of scenarios.I'm just glad that i resigned working under pharmacy and take this job, i am still under probation tho.. So am hoping for the best even if i makes mistakes here and there, the most important part is to learn from mistakes and don't repeat it twice. I know most people feel the same way as i do. Well when u first start working in a new company the most scariest part is to get along with the staffs there. And that is my biggest fear for me. Being the Second store in charge from my previous company i saw how new staff was treated but when i was in charge of the new staffs, I really took care of them. I prayed so hard that the staff here will care and help me like how i use to treat my staff from the previous job. Thank God! All the staffs here treat me so well and i am not afraid to seek help or advises from them and the buddy system here really helps. I applied this job online and the next day i received a call from them saying they had a vacancy and i needed to came down for a interview. Before i send my resume i went to NECDC(North East CDC) courses to upgrade myself. I only took a couple of test to check on how i am good at from Numeracy to Writing and a lot more. After that day i was schedule to go for a course to learn how to write a resume and how to go to for an interview. The speaker was so good, he even taught me how to dress!. So i needed to learn from the basic even if i had graduated from ITE with a Office certificate. I didn't mind at all for going to this kind of courses even if the class age group was mostly for people age 30-35 or above. I was motivated after i finish the course. So the next day i wrote my resume like how i was told and i send to hundreds of companies and i had a lot of call backs for the first time. I went for interviews but i wasn't that happy with the job scope and pay wise but this current job was able to give me the expected salary that i want and it is also near to my house so i went to give it a try. I was interviewed by the Manager and Assistant Manager and i know that i dress well for the interview and i am happy that i am able to answer the questions that is given to me. Maybe i was a little nervous but i put the nervousness aside. I am very confident when i wanted to go for this interview and that is only because of one reason! because i wanted the Job so much. I wasn't hired for 2 months and i really feel stress at home and thank god in the evening i receive a call saying that i got the job and i need to go to the head office for some signing of documents. I really feel good after that day and since i started working here i am glad that i made it through the most tiring and stress first few days on the job training. I wanted to quit as i was so stress with the duties but with the help from friends and families i made it until today. So my advice for people who is searching for a job: I understand that in Singapore especially when u don't have diploma or degree you have a little chances of getting that job that you want because other candidate maybe have degree or diploma and company will of course hire them instead of you. What i learn from the courses i went is you really need to SELL YOURSELF! Dress well and present yourself and for them who doesn't have the good certificates like me, at least you need to have a good employment history and not be afraid to take up any upgrading course for yourself. DON'T BE A JOB HOPPER! BE A WORKAHOLIC! When you are unemployed, a lot of problems will appear especially from your family. I understand how you feel, i fight with my family because of not working. That is another one reason why i had the motivation to quickly find a job. So my parents will keep quite and stop nagging. This is Life! Quite a lengthy post i must say. This is because i am inside the lounge office waiting for the time to go home. 8 PM please be fast! Sorry if there is grammatical errors. I am too tired to re read...... XOXO |
